“The main thing, before we start worrying about whether we can make our mark on the world stage, is to serve the people.”

Born in Beijing, graphic designer Xia Yu was destined to step into the world of design: his mother was an editor and he grew up in an atmosphere of books and publishing, films and art. Xia emphasizes the need, as a designer, to absorb a wide range of visual range information across different fields, from fashion to architecture. In 2009, he received a bronze award from the HKDA for his CIGE 2008 project.
