Cheryl Dunn gives us a very in depth view of what is street photography nowadays with her subtle approach of the subject. Even if it’s limited to one city – probably one of the most photogenic ones – her movie has a universal meaning: showing us how documenting city streets through the eyes of very different individuals is essential to our understanding of society.
Since the mid ‘80s, Cheryl Dunn has been portraying New York City’s streets, whether it’d be bikers, skateboarders or graffiti artist... From being one of the many street photographers in the city she turned into being the one that brings light into some of the most recognized and talented artists with her documentary 'Everybody Street'.
