Before any great design product is born there is always a need. In the best instances both form and function come together into something beautiful. For Playsam that need, first recognized was for safe, quality toys for preschool children. The toys would require play value and usability. The toy had to to be appealing and beautiful. Together with the team of ergonomic people testing our products, taught us all we needed to know. Observing children writing with pencils we developed the triangular grip that suited their hand motions But that discovery led to the realization that adults have similar needs for objects that work and objects that delight.
