There's a black humour to presenting: you're up there on stage talking about your life and work in the past tense. Even for the harshest self-obiturist, it's isn't easy to be critical.
British-born Simon Birch is one the most talked-about artists in his adopted home, Hong Kong. While his work focuses largely on figurative painting, he is known for branching out into other media. A one-time winner and multiple nominee of Asia's prestigious Sovereign Art Prize, his most recent creative endeavour was as ringmaster of the hugely successful "Hope & Glory: A Conceptual Circus". This saw him collaborating with a host of accomplished artists from across the creative spectrum, including WyngShya, Stanley Wong and Unkle.
