Slum Design — Domini Veneti Wine Label — 佛羅倫薩/紐約

Slum Design has won first prize in the international CODE Competition for Designers for the creation of a wine label for “Amarone vigneti di Jago 2012” of Domini Veneti Cellar. An intricate, bitter and reflective label for a wine with an Italian history, narrated through the Greek tale of Ulysses.

Every stage of Ulysses’ journey corresponds to a different shade of bronze. The deeper the band, the longer the time that Ulysses has spent in the corresponding phase of his adventure. As his voyage protracts itself, time dilates: light disappears, leaving room for the darkness representing nostalgia of homeland.
