Steve Gullick — 倫敦 英國

The past didn’t matter, the future was too far away and the present was lived so intensely that time slipped away while they loaded their film rolls. There were many professionals who left an indelible footprint in the history of rock photography. Steve Gullick is one of the few who got involved in the grunge scene when it first arrived to the United Kingdom and had the honour to work with Mudhoney, Screaming Trees and Soundgarden, apart from travelling the world with Nirvana.

Music and photography have gone hand in hand in a romantic and visceral way throughout decades, although the magic of both disciplines has recently diluted because of the music industry’s collapse and the social media invasion. It’s been a long way from that decade in which rock fans waited impatiently for their favourite magazines to arrive to the kiosk to read interviews with their idols and let their imagination fly with the photographs that captured the essence of their favourite bands.
