Antony Clarkson is a practicing international artist and lecturer on Visual Arts Programmes in both the UK and Europe. In 2012 Antony took up a two month residency at 501 Artspace in Chongqing, China during which he spent time learning about growing Chongqing and its evolution as a city. From this residency emerged a preoccupation with the spread of illumination within space, producing a unique installation exaggerating and extending shafts of natural light within the rectangular gallery space.
