Sign Painting is all about convey the message, make it clear and use a lettering that fits the purpose. For this exhibition Halfstudio Signs got it wrong. Halfstudio Signs is a Lettering and Sign Painting studio, based in Lisbon, Portugal, since 2012. It was born by the hand of Mariana Branco and Emanuel Barreira, and from their passion for letters and urge to renew the extinct tradition of hand painted signs — right now, Halfstudio Signs is the only Sign Painting studio in Portugal, a country overflowing with peeling and discolored traditional signs.
