Moosey Art Gallery presents 'Stolen Icon' by Cote Escriva — 諾維奇英國 — 9-25 JUL, 2015

The Moosey Art Gallery will host the debut UK exhibition of Valencian based artist and illustrator Coté Escriva. The name of the exhibition is 'Stolen Icon’ – a concept which came from a quote from Picasso, "good artists copy, great artists steal." Coté almost literally stole, or borrowed some of the icons of pop art and contemporary culture, such as the Campbell soup pot, banana by Warhol, Keith Haring’s Dog, Bibendum (the Michelin Man) or pieces of works by Roy Lichtenstein, Obey, Banksy, D*Face and given them a re-interpretation.
